This tutorial was written to accompany the day-long, introductory GIS workshops that I teach with QGIS. It is free for classroom use and self-directed learning under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License. The tutorial is written for the long term release of QGIS – not the latest releases. It’s best to stick with the version the manual was written for if you are new to GIS and are going to use this manual as your introduction. I try to update the materials every year or so with each new long term release.
